Job Summary The Performance Improvement Department of Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital (LPCH) at Stanford is looking to hire bright, hard-working and energetic recent graduates to gain experience in healthcare, and specifically in process improvement. Interns will support the work of the Performance Improvement (PI) department in its effort to improve the clinical and operating performance of LPCH. You will be exposed to medical center operations management, operations consulting and lean performance improvement methodology. You will also have the opportunity to interact with Stanfords LPCH clinicians and administrators. It is a great experience for someone interested in a career in healthcare to get a first-hand understanding of hospital operations. Front of House responsibilities include house managing, management of the volunteer corps, recruitment of new volunteers, and participation in Artist Hospitality events. Box Office Responsibilities include general ticket sales, managing phone lines and acting as assistant with the subscription campaign. Candidates need excellent interpersonal communication and management skills as they will be working with a wide variety of people, as well as the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Computer experience is required. ABOUT THE PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Graduating college seniors and recent graduates are invited to apply to CENTERSTAGEs 2013-14 Professional Internship Program, which provides hands-on experience and professional guidance to early-career artists, craftspeople, and administrators.
