Responsibilities


  • Build and maintain scripts to migrate data from legacy systems to new relational data management system driving Disney.com.
  • Work directly with Disney.com engineering to minimize the amount of manual data migration.


Basic Qualifications

  • Highly detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
  • Has the potential to understand and work with an object-oriented data model
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to adapt to and work with evolving functionalities in tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Fully qualified candidates must be available to work for 6 months beginning in January 2013.
  • Candidates must be able to provide their own housing and transportation in the Glendale (Los Angeles) area.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, C, Java and Transact-SQL a plus
  • Full Availability preferred, but open to part time interns that have the ability to work 20+ hours / week
