Mechatronic Engineering Intern/ co-op

A engineering research company in Northern Virginia is looking for a hands-on senior/ graduate student from Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering major for an exciting mechanotronic project of national interests.
Required Skills:
Advanced skill level in hands-on mechanical and electrical engineering.
Excellent hands-on skills in instrumentation and electrical assembly are required to perform this task. Knowledge of instrumentation and electronics for sensors, transducers, actuators will be extremely important.
Basic skills in mechanical and electrical design required to prepare and interpret drawings.
Experience/ basic knowledge in engineering FEA software tools such as COMSOL, Ansys, FEMLAB, LabVIEW. The candidate should be willing and able to learn one or more of these software tools.
Preferred: Knowledge of nondestructive tests, semiconductor manufacturing process, composites, and acoustics.
Duration for internship:
3-12 months starting Spring 2013 Semester.
