We are a national events company that sells and facilitates interactive events: murder mysteries, scavenger hunts, casino nights, dinner theaters. We provide entertainment for private parties and major corporations like Raytheon, Microsoft, and Boeing. Our office is based out of Chicago a few blocks from Wrigley field. The work flow consists of fielding inbound calls, responding to event proposals and inquiries, working with clients to determine the best event for their group, producing and shipping party packages, booking and scheduling actors that are running larger events, communicating with our vendors to get larger events booked and keeping up with administrative work: emails, event forms, contracts, etc.

Progressive Public Affairs is a lobbying and communications company in Chicago working to change the world, one law at a time. We'd like to get into video as a tool for reaching hearts and minds. The intern will work on conceiving, shooting and editing relatively short pieces (3 - 10 minutes) to be distributed on our platforms and through client platforms (their websites and social media). If you have creative ideas for using video to advance the progressive agenda (like helping to elect Democrats or convincing people to support progressive causes like high speed rail or ensuring every American is registered to vote or convincing people that we spend way too much money on the military), this is the internship for you. It's based in our Loop office and is available this summer and this fall. Self-starters do best, so if you have an entrepreneurial spark, this internship can grow into a job as we convince clients to pay for the work after they see how amazing it is.

Job Summary: Performs receptionist and concierge duties in the LaSalle Lobby on behalf of Bank and building tenants. Answers questions from building occupants (employees and tenants) and from visitors and guests. Serves as main contact for visitor entry into the Bank by facilitating entry process and maintaining appropriate records. Maintains a working knowledge of all areas of the Bank and Tenant functions. Maintains relationships with departmental and tenant hosts. Provides assistance in directing visitors and administrative needs for meetings and tours. Works closely with Law Enforcement Unit and Hospitality services. Provides administrative support related to numerous activities. The level of work required is considered intermediate and staff work under general supervision. This job does not have any direct reports.
