The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is seeking May 2013 graduate to participate in a year-long rotational program. The intern will participate in the daily operations of the Commission, working alongside NEIWPCC staff in all areas of the organization, rotating through the Wastewater and On-site Systems, Water Resource Protection, Water Quality, Communications and Outreach, and Meetings and Events divisions.

NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service is the federal agency, a division of the Department of Commerce, responsible for the stewardship of the nation's living marine resources and their habitat. The communications office in Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking a hardworking and self-motivated intern for the summer with possible extension into the fall.

The internship program at the Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium, located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier, provides students with a unique opportunity to gain practical work experience in the field of marine biology. We are looking for interns to assist us 4-10 hours during the work week for one semester. Students will assist with teaching our field trip classes about marine education. Our lab investigates the molecular biology of melanoma. This is a translational medicine-oriented lab which includes investigation of patient samples from our clinic. This is a research position. We look at the genetics and mechanisms involved in cancer and treatments. Interns would learn alongside physicians and other professionals in a laboratory setting in isolating nucleic acids and other cell components for analysis towards discovering new and useful information leading to treatment and diagnosis.
