We offer Internships for SUMMER, FALL, SPRING, or one full academic year.
UNIVERSITY OF THE OZARKS is located amid the beautiful rolling Ozark & Ouachita Mountains in Northwestern Arkansas, near the Buffalo, Piney, Mulberry & Arkansas Rivers. Within an hour drive are over 20 public recreation areas, 7 wildlife management areas, 5 state parks, our countrys first National Wild and Scenic River and the 218- mile Ozark Highlands thru-hiking trail.
OZARKS OUTDOORS is our campus center for outdoor education and recreation center servicing students, staff, faculty & Northwestern Arkansas communities. We offer outdoor and environmental classes, degrees, training and adventures as well as equipment rental and career services. Our mission is to provide adventure and leadership for our communities and earth.

WHAT MAKES OUR INTERNSHIP UNIQUE is the access you will have to everything!
WERE REMOTE. Imagine being surrounded by mountains, rivers and lakes with single-track trail and stream access off the literal corner of campus.
WE MENTOR. The Director personally orients you to the program, gives you feed- back on your performance, and offers career counseling. Additionally, you will meet personally with a specialist in Fund Raising, Student Life, Business Affairs, Web Design, Communications, Public Relations and Presidential Staff.
WERE YOUNG. The 2013-14 academic year is our 3rd official year of programming. You will gain the experience of having 2 successful programming years as well as a ground-up view of how to found then further develop a new program.
WE COLLABORATE both nationally and regionally, giving you ample opportunity to network with the Arkansas Wildlife Federation, The Nature Conservancy, National Forest Service, Johnson County Office of Emergency Management and others.
