The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) is a fast-growing association of patients, family members and medical professionals impacted by this often misdiagnosed and difficult illness. PHA is committed to maintaining the organization's volunteer spirit and to building opportunities for those affected by pulmonary hypertension to be involved in solutions to the challenges the illness creates. PHAs Medical Services Internship offers students an opportunity to assist the Associate Director, Medical Services and program associates in providing services to physicians, researchers, nurses and patients. This critical support will enable us to continue to provide vital services to the PH community. The Medical Services Intern will be instrumental in helping staff manage PHAs two medical membership networks and ensure that medical professionals who belong to these groups have access to the resources they need. This intern will have a wide range of experiences in managing the medical side of a health-related non-profit. You will be treated as a respected team member. Our office is a friendly and welcoming environment. Interns may also earn college credit. If you would like to design a project that helps you meet your educational goals, we will work with you to achieve this. Our office is located in downtown Silver Spring, Md., and is Metro accessible. MediaTracks Communications is an award-winning producer of news, feature and public affairs programming which airs weekly on over 800 stations across the nation. Weve been a leader in providing radio and audio services for the PR industry for 20 years, including radio news releases, PSAs, podcasts, and media tours. If you have a background in journalism, marketing, promotions, graphic design, website design, or photography, then we would like to hear from you. Internships are unpaid, but we do consider hiring individuals who display due diligence and excel in their field. Editorial interns will assist in research and writing news stories, interviews, and/or lifestyle coverage. Internship with News for Beginners. News for Beginners is an English learning website that aims to provide news to students who are just beginning to learn English. It is a news papers for learners. The news articles are easy to read and provide real, current information about world events from people who live in different countries. We are looking for one or two students (or graduates) who are interested in journalism and social issues in their country and surrounding area. The selected applicant will write short articles about the current events that are happening in their country. The applicant must be: Able to speak English at an intermediate or advance level Located in the country about which they are writing. WETA Public Television and Classical 90.9 FM provides internship opportunities designed to help expand students' knowledge and experience in public media and compliment their studies. Working on the weekly national program, "Washington Week with Gwen Ifill", the intern will research national and international news stories, fact-check scripts, monitor live news events, log video archives, prepare the green room for guests, and assist with website updates.
