Verve International is an import/export company located remotely. We import quality beauty/fashion items that we sell online. Were looking for our new semester interns, covering a variety of roles. Were looking for our next interns to work with us on developing & launching our newest beauty product, our premium hair extensions. We are bringing on a mixed team of 6-8 people who represent the roles outlined below. WETA Public Television and Classical 90.9 FM provides internship opportunities designed to help expand students' knowledge and experience in public media and compliment their studies. The Kansas Youth Soccer Association, located in Olathe Kansas is a non profit 501 (c) (3) youth sports organization which has been in existence since 1981. We are an Affiliate Member of the United States Youth Soccer Association and the United States Soccer Federation. We are seeking an intern who has an interest in Sports Administration and Program Management - preferring someone who has had experience in soccer as a player or coach. The Octagon Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit 501(c)-3 organization located in the heart of downtown Ames, Iowa. For more than three decades, the Octagon has steadfastly worked to make the arts more accessible to the general public. The Octagon continues to contribute to the quality of life and economic growth of the Ames community by making it a more livable and prosperous place. The Octagon serves more than 30,000 people annually though education classes and outreach programs, rotating exhibits, retail gallery shop, and special evets such as the annual Festival of Trees and the Octagon Art Festival. The success of the Octagon relies heavily on the support of its members and volunteers. Interns will play a pivotal role in the daily operations and tasks of the organization. The Summer 2013 Education intern will assist the Education Director with researching, planning, preparing and executing eight summer art camps for children grades 1st-6th. The internship will begin in the beginning of June, and will endure through late August. The intern will be expected to provide a minimum of 10 working hours per week. There will be preliminary orientation training, followed by any additional instruction deemed necessary by supervisor. The intern will also be given weekly meetings with their supervisor, the Education Dirctor, for guidance and instruction. This is a partially paid position. Payment will be given for preparation days only (not for contact hours with campers.) Payment is $25.00 per day, not to exceed $600 for the summer. Payment will be given only if hours are fulfilled and necessary work is completed.

The Center for Aerosol and Nanomaterials Engineering at RTI International is offering a Nanobiotechnology Research Internship for undergraduate and graduate students for Summer 2013. The use of metal oxide nanomaterials in industrial, household, and medicinal products (e.g. cosmetics, paints, and implantable devices) is increasingly widespread and contact with these materials is not only unavoidable, but exposure is often intentional. The intern will have an integral role in research efforts to further understand and predict the effects of metal oxide nanomaterials and how these man-made materials interact with biological processes. Furthermore, the intern will collaborate with leading nanotechnology experts to evaluate metal oxide nanomaterials to protect human health and the environment, leading to possible research publication co-authorship.
