Overview
Will support the Public Policy Committee and the Global Ambassadors Committee of VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board, the global virtual organization management advocacy arm of the board and its global evangelists respectively, whose mandate is to mobilize activists worldwide in order to research, develop, propose, and fight for foreign policies that reflect the realities of the new Virtual Organization World; to champion new laws and constitutional protections and civil rights for a new and enlightened global citizenry as well as the overhaul or removal of antiquated laws and foreign policies which impede progress, innovation, global cooperation, and more harmonious international relations among nations; and to promote strong, vibrant and democratic virtual organization institutions worldwide.
Your activities will include 1) legislative and policy research, 2) legislative tracking, 3) media research, 4) drafting letters to the White House and the US Congress as well as to other similar institutions worldwide, 5) assisting in various lobbying efforts, 6) administrative support, and 7) participation in board meetings with domestic and foreign officials and dignitaries, hearings, briefings, press conferences, coalition meetings, and other internal and external events. Will also be involved, under strict supervision, in planning and/or attending Board meetings; learning and using parliamentary procedures based on Robert's Rules of Order; recording and transcribing minutes of board meeting; and helping draft Board resolutions.
