This position works within the Editorial Services group to review planned promotional materials and programming initiatives, both print and electronic, for Forest brands. Position provides editorial support at all stages of the promotional review process and is responsible for research and reference checks regarding data and claims, grammatical and factual accuracy, for ensuring consistency in messaging, ISI (Important Safety Information) and IRI (Important Risk Information) statements, and that all brand-specific characteristics are executed correctly and within Forest and AMA style guidelines. Position may be primary editorial contact on Promotional Review Committee (PRC) team for assigned brands and will attend PRC meetings as dedicated editor on a regular basis. Primary Responsibilities: Conducts editorial reviews of promotional, educational, and training materials intended for use in both print and electronic formats to ensure grammatical and factual accuracy and correct referencing, clear and thorough expression of product messaging, consistency across all categories of promotional activity, and conformity with AMA style and company style guidelines. Prepares initial editorial review prior to PRC meeting and uses ProRed system (electronic commenting system) to track recommended edits. Attends PRC meetings and documents agreed-upon changes and important discussion points that affect a projects development ensuring all PRC team members are aligned with recorded commentary. Reviews interim versions of each piece as assigned to confirm PRC-agreed changes were implemented. Completes final review of piece to ensure all PRC comments were incorporated. Completes review of printer proofs before printing and staging sites of digital pieces before going live. Shares changes and important new brand-specific information with manager and freelance staff. Keeper of brand style guide; communicates and preserves QC standards on critical branding elements for assigned brands. Completes re-reviews as assigned. Works closely with the Promotional Review Associate (PRA) on assigned brands to ensure deadlines are met, project-specific concerns and any workflow issues are addressed. Additional Responsibilities: Collaborates with Medical Affairs contact regarding references and data sets. Interfaces and collaborates with all areas of Marketing and Marketing Operations as well as Corporate Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to resolve issues and questions about materials in review. Provides guidance to brand teams regarding outcomes from PRC meetings that affect new materials.
