We are looking for a highly motivated individual with creativity to assist with expanding our member services. Specifically, we are seeking to improve our electronic communication to over 500 international association members through blog space, Linkedin, email marketing, and Facebook.

Aiding Our Experience is dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and wome's health. Aiding Our Experience is looking for 1-2 interns to help develop content for its website. This internship will mostly be done remotely, but you may have to attend a few meeting. Interns will also have the opportunity to write for the site. Although we we write about serious issues AOE is a fun, creative, and interactive site.

We specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases of the Eye, but we also conduct clinical research trials for pharmaceutical companies who are bringing new medications into the market.. Some of the pharmaceutical companies that we do business with offer programs where qualified patients can receive medications and devices at no charge or greatly reduced rates. Tenants and Workers United, a non-profit community organization, has been active in the Arlandria / Chirilagua neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia for over 24 years. Our mission is to win social and economic justice for low-income people of color in Northern Virginia through community organizing, leadership development, and civic engagement. Examples of our current work include organizing for educational justice in Alexandria Schools; advocating to improve access to healthcare for the low-income, uninsured; and supporting immigrants in their fight for comprehensive immigration reform. In addition to the above work, TWUs Community Social Service Program provides a variety of services to the local low-income, immigrant community. We are seeking interns to support this aspect of our work.

The result is an extended support network from which the child can derive more caring, laughter, strength and support. Team IMPACT is a rapidly growing organization that is expanding geographically and we are looking for bright, driven and responsible individuals with strong written and verbal communications skills to round out our team for the spring semester. Essential Functions: This position involves maintaining an active dialogue with our current roster of medical and athletic ambassadors and advisors and to continually strengthen and grow our network in an effort to maintain their interest and active participation. This position will involve research and database maintenance of medical facilities and key medical constituents in preparation for the growth and expansion of regions beyond New England and the northeast. This position will involve research and communication of athletic departments facilities and key athletic ambassadors in preparation for the growth and expansion of regions beyond New England and the northeast. Play an integral role in the development and execution of e-mail marketing campaigns focused on the expansion of our medical/athletic networks into new geographies. Draft and edit written correspondence to medical professionals, athletic departments and key community ambassadors. For the right candidates, the role can involve making presentations to staff members at hospitals, colleges and other events throughout the year. It will involve leveraging your personal network of students/family/friends to help extend our outreach efforts in terms of identifying both prospective athletic teams and eligible children. Participate in Draft Days in order to capture content (pictures and videos) and further develop relationships with program participants. It will involve helping with social media maintenance and updates to continually improve our exposure through social networks. Green Chimneys maintains over 200 domesticated animals traditionally associated with farms and small pet species. As a member of the Farm Based Education Association (FBEA) and holding an exhibitor license (C) for animals with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Green Chimneys farm-based education program provides experiential, interdisciplinary education that connects people to the environment, their community, and the role of agriculture in our lives. The team consists of a certified teacher with a background in agricultural sciences and staff who have practical experience in livestock management. The Institute Internship is a three- to five-month commitment. Interns work 5 days a week, and also participate in occasional weekend activities and events. Institute Interns develop comprehensive skills in nature-based education and activities and practical knowledge for employing those skills in working with children with special needs. Internship Skill Areas ? Animal Care, Handling and Management- learn how to provide humane and species-appropriate care for farm animals, horses, wildlife and a variety of small and large species in the context of a nature-based therapeutic intervention program. Animal handling, selection, feeding, medical care and training are taught by experienced staff specialists. Introduction to Program Administration- learn how to create, implement, and document activities around animals and nature. The internship experience provides an important introduction to program development for those who seek to replicate and administer nature-based programs in other settings. Farm Class Teaching Support- learn to skillfully apply animal-assisted interventions and horticulture education to groups of students as teaching assistants in farm, riding and garden classes. Intern Project- Institute Interns, either as a group or individuals, will participate in an additional project to enhance the Green Chimneys Farm, or another area of the organization and its programs.

CUCS, The Prince George The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) is a pioneer in creating comprehensive, effective housing and service programs for homeless and low-income people, primarily single adults, particularly those suffering from serious mental illness, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and other disabling conditions. Since its inception at Columbia University in 1979, CUCS has also worked to improve public policy affecting the homeless and dispossessed. Thousands of formerly homeless people have found independence and rebuilt their lives with the help of CUCS' programs and services. The Center for Urban Community Services invites applications for 4 summer internship positions at The Prince George. The Prince George, located in midtown Manhattan, is a 416 unit SRO supportive housing residence for low income tenants, many of whom have histories of mental illness, homelessness, substance abuse, and /or HIV/AIDS. The summer intern will be an active participant on the core social services team at the Prince George.
