Must complete an online application at http://brooklynacademy.appone.com Criteria for Participation: To participate in the internship opportunities at BAM, graduate students must be currently enrolled, accepted into a graduate program or recent graduate and undergraduate students must be enrolled in college or university. Remuneration: Most internships are paid, however, some are also available for college credit. *Human Resources Intern: Provide Administrative support to the HR Team. Processing Unemployment claims and worker's compensation. Conducting verification of employment. Requirements: Must have a demonstrated interest in HR (e.g.. education or experience) Hours per week: 20-25 *Education and Humanities Intern: Intern will be working on implementing arts-in education programs for K12 students and families and Artist Talks for adult audiences for the 2011 season. Special requirements: Intern should have a strong interest in education or arts management. Hours per week: 2030 *Information Technology Intern: (2 internships currently opens) Assist the IT department in supporting its hardware, software and end user environment as directed by the IT staff including phone support, network cabling, equipment deployment and basic training of end users. Reconcile the IT inventory records. Update asset tracking system and assist with hardware disposal. Perform general office support including copying, faxing and filing *BAM Archives Intern: Processes BAM Archives collections Library of Archives Graduate Student Hours per week: 15hrs *Marketing: Assist with promotion, target marketing and community outreach for various events; general office support including mailing. Special requirements: Familiarity with the NYC arts scene Graduate students preferred. Hours per week: 20 hrs *Corporate Giving Internship: (internally known as Sponsorship Internship) Drafting reports, acknowledgement letters, proposals and agreements. Assisting with fundraising research & proposal development. Managing sponsor benefits including sponsor raffles and employee discounts Coordinating sponsorship account management- following up on status of proposals, contact information, and assembling sponsorship benefit packages Assisting with administrative tasks including: follow-up calls, mailings, filing, archiving and photocopies. Hours per week: Preferable availability of 30 hours minimum per week (may require some weekend and evening hours) Salary: Internships run 12 to 40 hours per week and pay $8.75 for undergrads and $9.75 per hour for graduate students. *May also be available for college credit.* Application Deadline: We hire interns on a rolling basis.
