The Division on Addiction, Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School offers a research-intensive summer training program to undergraduates interested in learning about the science of addiction.
Summer Research mentees will work directly with Division on Addiction faculty members to conduct original research related to addiction. The Divisions ongoing research efforts are diverse but share a common focus on contributing to the worldwide understanding of addiction, with the ultimate goal of alleviating the social, medical, and economic burdens caused by addictive behaviors. Research at the Division on Addiction includes studies of gambling and Internet gambling, DUI behavior and mental health, as well as mental health issues among homeless populations. This summer research position will assist with the implementation of computerized tools to assist in the assessment and treatment of substance use and mental health problems.
