Organizational Background
Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that works to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for hard-working, low-income families in Washtenaw County. This year we are planning to renovate 15 homes for 15 local families through the help of our countless sponsors, volunteers, and supporters.
Position Description
Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valleys Development and Volunteer Intern will support the organization by managing a number of key projects. The intern will work closely with the Development Department to promote Habitat for Humanity and to manage and organize tasks related to fundraising and volunteer coordination. Please note that this is an unpaid position.
Time Commitment
This internship will be 10-15 hours per week, spring 2013 through late summer, based on candidate availability. These hours and dates are flexible. Typical office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am-5pm, and Friday, 9am-1pm, however, intern must be willing to work some evenings and at least two Saturday mornings per month (to greet volunteer groups on site).
