What you will do: Chat Sports has over 100 exclusive writers that add unique content to our sports news delivery engine, providing a comprehensive sports experience on the web for passionate fans. The Sports Editing Internship will manage and review the content for 25+ writers in our network. To our writers, you will be their writing coach, idea source, fact checker and social media consultant. You will review their content, utilize your editing prowess, provide impactful feedback and help shape Chat Sports social media distribution strategy. All duties of this position are high level and challenging. Almost no clerical, administrative or busy work duties.

The American High Speed Rail Alliance is a U.S.-based, not-for-profit 501(c)(6) organization whose mission is to advocate for the development and implementation of a high speed passenger rail network in the United States. Our Goals: # Build a stronger high speed rail movement and active base of citizens using innovative organizing and communication tactics to expand local leadership and public support for 21st century transportation. # Advance transportation policy. We work closely with our supporters and other high speed rail organizations in the grassroots community. We offer advocates effective ways to make their voices heard on important transportation policy decisions that impact our quality of life. Through action alerts, advocates are encouraged to vote on certain issues that affect high speed rail policy decisions. # Generate media coverage of high speed rail related issues that are of importance to the public. We continue to build our media presence in order to generate fast and accurate coverage of breaking news on issues that are of critical importance to make high speed rail a reality in the United States. We also train advocates to more effectively use the media to get their voices heard. # Build civic participation and educate the public. The AHSRA Grassroots campaign informs and mobilizes our supporters and ensures that our voice is heard on transportation issues that matter. We monitor the actions of elected officials and powerful special interest groups and hold them accountable for their actions.
