Great Lakes Science is offering a digital photography internship in the marketing department. The main objective of the internship is to create a photo library of images related to the Science Center and its programs, events and exhibits for use in future Science Center marketing materials including print, web and e-communications. This is an unpaid position and it will be the students responsibility for arranging to receive credit through their university or college. The Science Center will require that rights to unlimited use of all images created during the term of the internship be given to the Science Center. The intern will assist the MPAA's Corporate Communications staff through a variety of tasks including updating media lists, organizing relevant clips, basic media monitoring, and general administrative tasks, as well as other assigned duties involving assisting in logistical preparation and execution of MPAA special events as needed. The Institute of International Education (IIE), Office for Latin America works closely with the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and with other offices of the US Embassy in Mexico, in administering the largest U.S. State Department-supported EducationUSA Advising Center in Latin America, promoting U.S. higher education by offering comprehensive and objective guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access educational opportunities in the United States. IIE interns work in the EducationUSA Advising Center, hosted by IIE/Latin America, in assisting with advising students, as well as with the Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC) who provides leadership and expertise in educational advising issues to advising centers and U.S. Embassies throughout Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. As the main EducationUSA Advising Center in Mexico, IIE receives approximately 103,000 requests for information annually. It provides information concerning all subject areas at the high school and all higher education levels in the U.S. through its extensive collection of reference materials. The Advising Interns assist the Educational Adviser in providing the following services: · Advise the general public and Mexican institutions about educational opportunities in the United States. · Conduct research on specific topics related to US study for use within the advising center. · Support students interested in studying in the U.S. through personalized advising sessions, internet and publication research assistance and guidance throughout the application process. · Foster communication with students. · Revise and deliver PowerPoint presentations about U.S. study at public information sessions. · Manage event promotion and registration. · Provide updated center information for various advising related websites.

The Institute of International Education (IIE) Office for Latin America works with various foundations, private corporations, institutions, and governments in managing scholarship and training programs to provide Latin Americans with more opportunities for higher education and exchange.
