Company is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing/advertising team. Our marketing department produces quality work for major companies in the Bakersfield area, and seeks an intern who can participate in various stages of print and online marketing campaigns. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) is a fast-growing association of patients, family members and medical professionals impacted by this often misdiagnosed and difficult illness. PHA is committed to maintaining the organization's volunteer spirit and to building opportunities for those affected by pulmonary hypertension to be involved in solutions to the challenges the illness creates. The Volunteer Services Internship offers students an opportunity to work with volunteers across the country who are involved in patient-led support groups. Interns will work with the Volunteer Services Director in providing support and materials to Support Group Leaders and volunteers in the PH community. Such critical support will enable us to continue to provide vital services to the pulmonary hypertension community and promote awareness of an under-diagnosed illness. The mission of The Black Institute (TBI) is to shape intellectual discourse and dialogue and impact public policy uniquely from a Black perspective (a perspective which includes all people of color in the United States and throughout the Diaspora). The Black Institute will translate the think in think-tank into action through a head, heart and feet strategy: the head being research, data gathering, polling and academic partnerships; the heart being civic education, training and development; and the feet being on the ground organizing and issue based campaigns. TBI will change the discourse of public debate, train and educate new leadership and develop initiatives to build wealth, build power and deliver justice to Black people. TBIs Campaign Associate will assist the Director of Campaigns and Organizing (DCO) in her work with community organizations and key allies on developing, implementing, coordinating, and driving issue-based campaigns.

The Web Page Designer Extraordinaire will be responsible for items below, but not limited to: - COMPLETE redesign of the current webpage - Designing elements of our website, e-mail campaign, and advertising pieces - Creating web-ready graphics - Building landing pages and e-mail blasts - Collaborating with other interns for innovative ideas as they are hired - Providing creative insight for the success of projects

To include but not limited to: * Perform or direct web site updates. * Write, design, or edit web page content, or direct others producing content. * Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions. * Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction. * Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. * Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.

Bay Area Office Intern The Peace Alliance is seeking an intern to join our fast-paced team for Winter/Spring 2012 (dates flexible). We are seeking an individual with energy and discipline who has a background or interest in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, juvenile justice, and/or youth violence prevention. This position presents the opportunity to impact multiple projects with our team members, fostering communication and professional development skills. The Peace Alliance is an alliance of organizers, practitioners, and advocates throughout the United States mobilizing support for peacebuilding policies in the US government and constructive, non-violent solutions in our homes, communities, jobs, and investments. We work through Advocacy, Education and Grassroots Mobilization.

The Digital Media Dynamo will potentially work on these projects, either a few or many: brainstorm how to use video as a powerful selling tool to our employers and interns; create Power Point presentations; take photographs and/or videos of the presentation for future marketing opportunities; script, story board, film, edit and promote videos on YouTube; source and make equipment recommendations; and so much more!
