Overview
Seeking enthusiastic, global-oriented, highly disciplined, and self-motivated interns with a true passion for Service, Higher Education, Virtual Organizations, and Social Media; who can bring creative ideas to the virtual organization administration team at VOMI Virtual Corporate Headquarters and help implement them. Will support the VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board, a newly formed and powerful internal advocacy force within VOMI and VOMI proper. Will, under strict supervision, liaise with all departments in order to insure compliance with all VOMI corporate policies and procedures as well as best-next practices for operating in a virtual environment and managing a virtual organization; monitor compliance with significant reporting deadlines; and insure the archiving of decisions, resolutions, and minutes of the Board of Directors and the VOMI Global Think Tank and Advisory Board. Will help insure that all organizational components (financial, websites, cloud applications, manuals, etc.) are in place and functioning properly. In this unique position, you will be constantly kept abreast of each department's ongoing operations in order to properly communicate with all internal and external stakeholders. Other activities will include answering incoming phone calls and emails and forwarding inquiries to respective departments and personnel, assisting with internship coordination, conducting virtual organization company headquarters tours, and other assigned tasks. Will also be involved, under strict supervision, in planning and/or attending Board meetings; learning and using parliamentary procedures based on Robert's Rules of Order; recording and transcribing minutes of board meetings; and helping draft board resolutions.
