Fall Public Relations Intern for Book Publisher

After the books have been written, edited, designed and published, the last important step is getting the right people talking about the books. Learn what it takes to target online and offline opinion leaders to generate conversation and interest in our titles. As a Familius PR intern, youll have the chance to be the lead public relations manager on three Familius titles, working primarily with the authors and the press. Our goal as a company is to help families be happy. We are looking for interns that are positive, outgoing, wildly creative, and that have a sincere to desire to help families. DETAILS: Compensation: $350 stipend Hours: 10 per week, but those hours may be scheduled around school and other activities (we've tried to make it simple). Location: Flexible. Description Urban Solutions has an immediate opening for an intern or volunteer to support the traditional and social media outreach of the organization and our neighborhood programs. This is a unique opportunity to learn about undiscovered microenterprises in San Francisco and to help with their promotions. The intern/volunteer will operate under the direction of the Development and Communications Director. This is not an entry-level or training position. Interns must commit to working from August 16 to December 20. Celebrating its 80th year, the McDonalds® Thanksgiving Parade is Chicagos premier holiday event. Hundreds of thousands of spectators crowd State Street Thanksgiving morning to watch gigantic helium balloons, award-winning marching bands, majestic equestrian units, fabulous holiday floats, spectacular performance groups, local personalities and national celebrities, while millions of viewers tune in to watch the parades local and national broadcast. This is your chance to be part of a nationally-televised event that is viewed by millions! OVERVIEW Interns contribute to all aspects of event production and gain valuable experience through exposure to a variety of industries. Students interested in pursuing a career in the special events industry are encouraged to apply.
