The team maintains/builds/enhances all of the online channels of communication including multiple web sites, applications and a growing presence in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube). The team also creates/develops/publishes content for each channel. The Communications Department produces an increasing amount of dynamic content for all the online channels, and the web team handles the production and publication of the content (text and digital) to our web platforms. The Web Publication intern would learn the basics of publishing to our content management platforms, and then help in ongoing publication, testing and updating of the site on a daily basis. Solid web skills including use of Google, Adobe and Microsoft tools would be required with HTML knowledge very helpful. Reporting to the Web Designer, the intern would also have the opportunity to expand development experience in the building of a micro-site.

Hospice of Marshall County (HMC) seeks a highly motivated, self-starting student who is passionate about public service. Intern will provide support to HMC staff and gain valuable skills and insights while assisting with communications/Public Relations, media relations, social media, event planning, corporate research and outreach for HMC throughout the 9 county service area in Northeast Alabama. I am looking for an intern with an advanced degree in medicine, public health, or health education to work with my company to create a Health Education certificate program that will be completed through online courses. In order to apply for this internship, please create and send a proposal that outlines the following: 1) A description of the certificate program you will create 2) A chart that lists the number of courses, the names of each course, and the number of units per course. 3) A syllabus for each course that describes a general description, the course objectives, course assignments, necessary textbook(s), grading rubric, and the competencies from the Seven Areas of Responsibility that are being covered within the course. Please remember, all competencies from the Seven Areas must be addressed by the time a student has completed the certificate program. All material you submit in the project proposal will be exclusively owned by you unless you are selected for the internship position. We will evaluate the proposals and select the intern that has the best combination of relevant experience, education, and program designed. Any certificate proposals that do not fully address how the course content will cover the competencies listed in the Seven Areas of Responsibility will be discarded. We will provide the online course environment to host the certificate program, but the contractor will be responsible for developing the course content and loading the content into the online course environment.
