Marketing/Public Relations Intern

ArtistsPalooza is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of artists, filmmakers and musicians that have come come together to empower artists to empower the world. ArtistsPalooza was set up to provide the creative support and resources to help artists develop their careers. It also aims to provide a platform for people of all abilities to create and publish their creative message to the world while at the same time, contributing in a positive way to the community. We are currently seeking college juniors and seniors to fill several internship positions within ArtistsPalooza. Ideally, candidates will have a genuine interest in the arts and/or nonprofit work, and will be pursuing a major in entertainment, media, communications, public relations, or the arts. The unpaid internship will begin immediately and last for four months with the possibility for extension. Potential for part-time or full-time employment exists on the successful completion of the internship. Candidates are expected to commit to 10-20 hours weekly. We would like to stress that our interns should be able and willing to make a commitment of several months with ArtistsPalooza. Students can receive college credit. ArtistsPalooza believes that society prospers and civilizations flourish when communities are not consumed with survival and basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing. Publications Intern

The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is looking to fill a summer internship position in its Publications department. ICSC is the global trade and professional association of the retail real estate industry. With 60,000 members worldwide, the association represents all facets of the industry including shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, lenders, retailers, and other professionals as well as academics and public officials. The chosen candidate will assist the Publications department with the fulfillment of the following: Responsibilities Assist in coordinating production of books, newsletters and other publications by managing vendors, trafficking materials, corresponding with authors and reviewers, and securing supporting materials (including bar codes, outstanding permissions, images/artwork, copyright registrations, etc.) Proofread/edit misc. copy, including page proofs, cover copy, and promotional materials Help coordinate Bookstores at ICSC meetings Distribute new publications to internal management, trustees and book contributors and vendors Provide general departmental clerical support as necessary Qualifications Excellent command of English language and grammar Strong written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word Knowledge of proofreading and copy editing marks a plus Staff members will work with the student, if he/she is interested in receiving academic credit for the internship.
