The Hub is a collaboration of artists in Canton, OH dedicated to working together under the same roof to provide the city with access to intelligent artwork, classes, and a safe space to create. This internship will consist of hanging artwork, painting murals, wheat-pasting posters, managing PR, and creating new and vibrant facets to The Hub. We're looking for someone who is resourceful, hands on, creative, and willing to work independently. Someone who is organized would also be great since you'd be dealing with artists who have their focus elsewhere. It's an exciting place to be and we're looking forward to hearing from you.

The Education Outreach Intern will be involved in all aspects of our education programs. This will include but is not limited to: leading field trips at our center, giving private tours, presenting to schools and other community groups, supervising birthday parties, and manning booths at community events. They will also be responsible for helping with animal care tasks as needed, including cleaning enclosures, diet preparation and bottle-feeding orphaned babies. Chicago Zoological Society, which manages Brookfield Zoo, is currently accepting applications for our College Experiential Learning Opportunities (CELO) program. This position contributes to the success of the Chicago Zoological Society by providing seasonal support for the Environmental Quality Manager to monitor the various environments provided for animals at the Zoo using a variety of instrumentation and techniques, and to report the findings (and any potential issues) to the appropriate AP Managers and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, routine water quality sampling and analysis for all re-circulating aquatic systems, routine air sampling and analysis of areas of the zoo that may present health issues for animals, the analysis and assessment of artificial UV lighting used for indoor exhibitry, and the routine use of a toolkit designed to assess outdoor exhibits to determine if enough shade or heat had been provided.
