The Mather LifeWays Community Initiatives intern participates in meaningful learning experiences in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs/technology relevant to older adults. This hands-on opportunity will allow the intern to be involved with a variety of projects and develop a number of career-relevant skills. The experience must be relevant to the intern's academic and professional goals, and activities of Mather LifeWays Community Initiatives. An internship is performed under the direct supervision of CI Management Staff. This is an unpaid internship. The MOREways intern has the opportunity to gain meaningful experience in developing engagement/educational programs and research studies based on mission and goals of Mather LifeWays CI programs, work with a variety of departments that may include Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing and Community Initiatives, establish a professional network, and develop/enhance professional resume.

Massachusetts Peace Action is seeking students, recent graduates, or young activists who can commit 8-12 hours per week from February to May. The internship is unpaid but a stipend of $300 will be paid on completion. Start and end dates are flexible but the student should be able to work at least 10 weeks during the spring. Our office is located in Harvard Square, Cambridge. Massachusetts Peace Action is a statewide membership organization working to develop the sustained political power to foster a more just and peaceful U.S. foreign policy. Through grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and community education, our priority issues for 2013 are: promote reductions in the military budget to fund programs that address jobs, the environment and human needs; end the war in Afghanistan and prevent one with Iran; and abolish nuclear weapons. The Research Intern will focus on assembling information about the military-industrial complex in Massachusetts.

KJS Events is a full service meetings and events planning company. We produce corporate meetings and events, event productions, and help clients with brand recognition through promotional items and product placement. On the corporate side we plan and execute ribbon cuttings, corporate meetings, employee events and group dinner parties across the United States. On the events side we work in conjunction with local businesses on social clubs, monthly networking events or special events. The special events intern position will assist senior planner in the planning, detailing and execution of various events and projects. Intern will act as a liaison between vendor and KJS Events.
