We are seeking highly-motivated undergraduate students from a variety of different backgrounds, with a strong interest in sustainable agriculture, to participate in a unique 8-week summer internship. Summer Interns with the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) come from all over the country and world to work with faculty members to learn about the concepts and practices of various aspects of sustainable agriculture through hands-on farm work, lectures and discussions, community engagement, and field trips to local farms and markets. In addition, a highlight of this program is that interns will gain hands-on sustainable agriculture research knowledge through working with a diversity of CEFS Faculty Researchers from various disciplines at CEFS' 2,000-acre research farm in Goldsboro, N.C.. Goals For students completing the CEFS Sustainable Agriculture Internship Program, the goals are to * describe sustainable agriculture and community food systems from a broad systems perspective; * observe and evaluate a variety of agricultural systems and practices for their sustainability; * improve professional development and collaborative learning interactions with university faculty and staff, farmers, extension agents, researchers, non-governmental organizations and the community; * communicate how sustainable agriculture research is conducted, basic techniques, and data collected from a variety of disciplines in sustainable agriculture

Our company is truly a collective of various aspects within the real estate industry carrying out a full spectrum of task associated with the purchase, sell and rent of real property, REO's & Non performing Note transactions, wholesaling, wholetailing, and other creative transactions and techniques. We also carry out peripheral niches found within the present chaotic US economy where we outsource leads for short sales, carry out lease and rent-to-own options, owner financing scenarios, etc,. Our purpose is to keep Houses out of foreclosure and to help reduce the impact that vacant homes have on our local economies. We basically assist homeowners who find themselves in distress and guide them to certain government programs to help them save their homes. These programs include loan modifications and TILA compliance audits, but as an ultimate alternative, we carry out damage control strategies via the intervention of private investors who purchase the homes and help relocate the homeowners. We currently need two types of interns (both can be part time or full time- flexible); Type 1) 2-5 interns who can eventually become well versed commissions reps in the near future carrying out unique hands-on marketing initiatives, door to door knocking, telephone and person-to-person interviews with homeowners and investors, outsourcing of leads, data entry, showing of homes, etc. Type 2) 1 intern who can help out with marketing, and computer graphics/animation/Art work of new promotional material and company logos

Wildlife Care - Husbandry and Research

The mission of the Fund for Animals Wildlife Center, a program of The Humane Society of the United States, is to create a humane and sustainable world for all animals, including people, through education advocacy, and the promotion of respect and compassion. Interns at FFWAC have the opportunity to learn about native wildlife in rehabilitation as well as the exotic species who are residents of our Sanctuary. An "intern" is anyone who chooses to perform services for FFA without monetary compensation but may be provided with on-site housing and academic credit, and who completes a specific project at the direction of and on behalf of FFA. Interns must be at least 18 years of age to apply. Internships are available year-round for a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week for 12 weeks up to 40 hours per week for at least 6 weeks; a total minimum commitment of 240 hours. Interns participate in the same activities as volunteers but in a more intense and individualized capacity. Interns will develop their own independent project which they must complete by the end of their term; the project will be confirmed with staff (and any applicable academic advisor) within the first 2 weeks of the interns program. On-site housing may be available for interns committing at least 30 hours per week and will be discussed after receipt of the initial application; please note your interest in housing accommodations in your cover letter. As interns may be traveling from outside of the area, in-person orientations are not required and a phone or Skype interview can be scheduled instead. At least two letters of recommendation must be submitted with the application form when applying for an internship. Copies of any academic requirements should also be submitted. International interns are solely responsible for obtaining any required Visas.
