California Quake, LLC (women's tackle football team) was originally founded in 2001 and is a part of the Independent Women's Football League (IWFL). Quake plays their home games at Downey high school and their regular season is from January to July. During the off season (August to December) the team still holds public appearance events, fundraisers, clinics, tryouts and recruiting to build our next seasons team. This team is in operation during the entire year and is currently seeking for dedicated internships to assist the organizations growth and prominence in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.

The primary objective of this internship is to provide support to increase public awareness of Casa de Amparos programs and services, to promote funding and community support by carrying out research, using a range of methods, to discover and capture data on local corporate foundations to identify those that would be likely to support Casa de Amparos mission, events, and overall fundraising goals.

Field Practicum Pay: Stipend The AARP New Jersey State Office, located in Princeton, NJ, has openings for 2012-2013 internship appointments! This internship involves event planning and communication initiatives directed toward AARPs membership base, volunteers, and legislators. This includes, but is not limited to, the coordination of events, public/media relations, program design, organizational communication and mass media. You will gain first-hand knowledge of how the largest non-profit organization works, develops and conveys its message to 40 million members across the United States. You will gain valuable work experience with an opportunity to participate in advocacy and outreach campaigns and expand your knowledge of the communication process in the field. A daily stipend of $15 is provided.
