THIRTEEN, the flagship NY station for PBS, is seeking a highly-motivated intern for the channels 50th Anniversary Documentary Special. The intern will provide extensive research and production support to the production team. Responsibilities will include logging and transcribing footage, organizing and updating scripts, and fact-checking. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone interested in television production and the history of public television. The programs selected for inclusion in the 50th Anniversary Special represent the best of THIRTEENs programming, from thought-provoking current affairs coverage to dynamic musical performances, from avant-garde video art experiments to fascinating science programs. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the television production process, as well as an immersion into the rich heritage of public television. We are looking for an intern to start in February. Hours are flexible but chosen candidate will be required to intern 16-24 hours per week for a two- to three-month period. Public Relations and Marketing Intern - Summer

The International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum seeks talented college students searching for a dynamic internship experience in museum/attraction marketing; sport management and marketing; and public relations and community outreach. Interns will have hands on experience in a variety of efforts including, but not limited to, copy writing, photography, organizing promotional events, website management, media relations and on-site experience at a professional sports event. The focus of this internship is in to promote the ITHF via marketing, public relations, advertising, events, community and media relations, with the goal of increasing attendance and support for all departments (Museum, Tournament, Retail, Tennis Club and Membership/Development). Particular emphasis is placed on attracting tennis fans, tourists and area residents to visit the Museum and attend the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships. TIME COMMITMENT: Interns are accepted year-round. The focus of the work and time commitment required will be somewhat dictated by the time of the year. Summer: Beginning mid-May and running through August 20; Must be available daily from June 1 July 16; Must be willing to work nights and evenings; ITHF can be flexible on start and end dates, but requires strong commitment during peak tournament season of June 1 July 16. COMPENSATION: Interns must be receiving college credit to be eligible for this position. Upon proof of enrollment in a college course, interns will be paid a stipend of $20 per day. Should a student have interest in this position, but not be enrolled in a class for college credit, the ITHF would consider making the position available in a volunteer capacity.

Documentaries & Development Project: SACREDSACRED is a major new documentary film that will document a year of religious life across seven continents. The film will cover major events such as Christmas in Bethlehem or the end of Ramadan in the Middle East, as well as lesser known days on the calendar like Bodhi Day in India. SACRED will take full advantage of the globally connected, mobile nature of 21st century filmmaking to cover more ground and embrace a wider array of religious traditions than any film on religion yet made. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of the television production industry. Interns will see first-hand how a large scale documentary project is researched and developed. The internship will involve heavy research in the history of religions and significant social media management to aid us in our search for filmmakers around the world who will contribute footage to the project. Best applicants will have very strong research and writing skills, be computer savvy, have social media and web skills, and a background or strong interest in television production and/or world religions.
