Web Publishing/Social Media Intern

This web publishing/social media internship is regarded as an opportunity to learn and gain valuable exposure with web publishing, online editorial and production, and social media. It provides guidance and professional experience in online magazine publishing and digital marketing. The internship will aid in the development and production of WhereLA.com and other digital properties of Southern California Media Group, including their various social media channels. The intern will work closely with the web editor/manager in learning how to program pages for the website, size photographs, and assist with various editorial and social media tasks. Interns will gain an understanding of how to produce the website, accompanying digital newsletters and implement a social media strategy. Additional Information The internship is flexible, but for now offered during the spring (through May), summer (late May through August) and fall (September through December) semesters, to coincide with university schedules. School credit must be obtained for this internship, and there is no pay (except, of course, for the invaluable experience!). The Finance Department is responsible for the internal and external financial reporting for the Harry Fox Agency, Inc. (HFA) and its parent company the National Music Publishers Association, Inc. In addition, the Department provides financial analyses and advice as required by the organization, and manages the annual corporate and benefits audits. We offer internships in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The Spring and Fall internships are part-time positions (12-15 hrs/week), unpaid, school credit only. Spring term begins in January and end in May. Fall begins in September and ends in December. The summer internship is a full-time paid internship, which runs from June through August.
