Intern assignments may include, but are not limited to:
  • Performing data collection, data cleaning, data validation, and reporting tasks for revenue management systems and applications
  • Support the analysis and validation of forecasting and optimization models
  • Model and analyze revenue management and pricing related issues using various mathematical, statistical, and simulation techniques


Basic Qualifications These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position:

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently completed study from a graduate school program leading to a PhD
  • Major field in Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Math, Economics or related areas
  • Proven experience with statistical, forecasting, and optimization software including SAS
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong partnering skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new science, software applications and tools
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in SAS

The Entomology Disney Professional Internship is designed to provide qualified college students with the opportunity to work in the Integrated Pest Management Program in the agricultural greenhouses that are part of the Living with the Land attraction at Epcot. These interns are part of the Agricultural Sciences team that brings the excitement of agriculture to millions of Epcot guests each year.

Responsibilities

  • Rear and maintain insect colonies, release beneficial insects and predator mites into the greenhouses and assist with pest monitoring and greenhouse IPM programs.
  • Lead daily informative and interactive guest tours through the greenhouses, labs and the aquaculture facility.
  • Participate in training sessions, classes and meetings, as scheduled.
  • Staff the Behind the Seeds Tour desk at Epcot to promote the tour, sign guests up for the tour, sell plant-related merchandise and answer general guest questions.
