Job Description:

The Summer Intern will work in the Mainframe Transaction Systems Programming department.  The Mainframe Transaction Systems Programming team is responsible for maintaining and configuring mainframe CICS, IMS and WAS environments; participate in problem determination, performance tuning and system design for current and future initiatives.  The student will be responsible for the following:

• Review, audit, optimize and enforce standards of development system environmental files


• Leverage MS Access or SQL to enable CMDB of CICS, IMS and WAS resources.  Develop reports leveraging the information.


• Design and develop solutions for automated reporting.

The successful Summer Intern will have worked with or have experience in:

• Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel) skills


• Knowledge of SQL and SQL Programming


• Visual Basic Programing


• Strong technical troubleshooting skills


• Good knowledge of computers and servers


• Strong analytical and communication skills both oral and written

TheSummer Intern must be able to work 32-40 during the summer (generally May through August).

Education:

The Summer Intern must be currently enrolled in a degreed college/university program working toward a degree in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline.
