Geekosystem is seeking editorial interns for the fall semester! The ideal candidate is a current college or graduate student looking for hands-on writing experience at a news startup. Geekosystem is a news blog at the cutting edge of technology and Internet culture with the mission of uniting all the tribes of geekdom under one common banner. Theres a lot of overlap between the different families of geekery: The geeks who are into gadgets and computers are often one and the same as the geeks who are into comics and sci-fi, who are often the same as the geeks who are fueling the culture of the Web one forum or imageboard at a time. Based in Palatine, Illinois, Countryside offers a variety of support services including vocational training, in-home respite and family support. Social Services Professional Internship is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 4:00pm. The Social Services Professional Intern would provides services with the adult individuals with a disability in our day programming department assisting with programs and activities to keep individuals actively engaged throughout the day. The Social Services Professional Intern also may provide services to adults with a disability in our work training program teaching individuals served job tasks with subcontract work. Assumes complete responsibility for facilitating the transfer of patient health record from paper to Electronic Health Records (EHR). Identifies key data elements in the medical record, interprets and analyzes medical record documentation, and extrapolates pertinent health information into EHR. The work of a Medical Records Abstractor is performed in both paper charts and EHR. Students will also get the opportunity to observe and participate in the business office at an outpatient, ambulatory site. Before a student begins the abstraction process they will have a complete understanding of an outpatient office flow.
