The Journalism Intern will work under close supervision with the HobNob team to learn to create and submit content for our community-based portal. The intern will learn through assisting in the development and writing of the weekly newsletters, press releases, website blogs, news articles, attend and write about local events, utilize photography/video and work with our community partners regarding their media communication plans. In addition, the intern will learn about multiple online technologies including web, blogs, video, online-media content and other communication technologies.

DOWNTOWN Magazine is currently seeking editorial/online interns for the Fall and Winter 2012 season. We are offering full-time unpaid positions in our Lower Manhattan offices. School credit will be available. There are also opportunities to write with a byline for the print publication. The site allows athletes to create profiles, upload highlight videos and fill in statistics to gain exposure during the recruiting process. Additionally, we will host approx. 30 camps in 17 different cities this year.
