This position is very heavy in office duties which include handling phones, office tasks, scheduling travel and day to day tasking as needed. All candidates must be self-starters and very detailed oriented. You must have knowledge of the NFL and NBA and a strong desire for a career in sports. Intern must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher. You need to be able to multitask and handle high work load. Must have good phone etiquette and good time management. Those who cannot handle high stress situations need not to apply. We are a small firm but remain constantly busy. We are looking for someone who is able to work Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm. Sports Administration & Event Management for NSC and MASC

Intern(s) will assist in the administrative organization of major amateur sporting events and projects sponsored by the NSC and MASC, including SCHWANS USA CUP soccer tournament, NSC Cup, Wal-Mart All American Cup, USA Rugby events and Star of the North Games. Responsibilities will include registration, volunteer services, housing, transportation, officials, activities, campus operations, results/media, publications, special events, sponsorships, marketing, competition/programming, ticketing and more. Start: April-May 2013 Hours -- During summer, hours are 40+ per week. Interns should be flexible with time, as many positions require event work in evenings and weekends. All positions are available for course credit as approved by your institution. Compensation -- All positions are a paid stipend based on commensurate of experience. Deadline -- Resumes and cover letters submitted prior to February 15, 2013 will be given preference.
