Position: Social Services Intern Department: Senior Services Reports to: Social Services Manager Last Updated: 1 Position Summary: The Social Services Intern will assist Caseworkers with various government programs and other benefit applications. The Intern will observe client intake processes, and also screen clients for potential benefits. The position will learn about different Social Services and government programs available to Hanover Township senior citizens, and pursue training as-needed. Interns may assist or supervise the following programs: Adopt-A-Senior, Caregiver Support Group, Caring for Your Memory Support Group, C-HOPE, Latino Outreach, and others. The position will also work to assist Social Services team with electronic Resource File and ensuring it is up-to-date. The Intern will be responsible for updating housing, home health, handyman, food pantry, home-delivered meals programs, transportation services, and other referral sources. The Intern may also develop a marketing plan for future and current programs. This opportunity may also include making presentations to senior living facilities or other agencies to increase awareness of Social Services offered at Hanover Township. The Intern will be responsible for conducting outreach events, as well as assisting with marketing of programs and services. The position will assist in planning and promotion of Support Groups, special projects, and other Social Services events and programs.

Public Relations and Marketing Intern - Summer

The International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum seeks talented college students searching for a dynamic internship experience in museum/attraction marketing; sport management and marketing; and public relations and community outreach. Interns will have hands on experience in a variety of efforts including, but not limited to, copy writing, photography, organizing promotional events, website management, media relations and on-site experience at a professional sports event. The focus of this internship is in to promote the ITHF via marketing, public relations, advertising, events, community and media relations, with the goal of increasing attendance and support for all departments (Museum, Tournament, Retail, Tennis Club and Membership/Development). Particular emphasis is placed on attracting tennis fans, tourists and area residents to visit the Museum and attend the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships. TIME COMMITMENT: Interns are accepted year-round. The focus of the work and time commitment required will be somewhat dictated by the time of the year. Summer: Beginning mid-May and running through August 20; Must be available daily from June 1 July 16; Must be willing to work nights and evenings; ITHF can be flexible on start and end dates, but requires strong commitment during peak tournament season of June 1 July 16. COMPENSATION: Interns must be receiving college credit to be eligible for this position. Upon proof of enrollment in a college course, interns will be paid a stipend of $20 per day. Should a student have interest in this position, but not be enrolled in a class for college credit, the ITHF would consider making the position available in a volunteer capacity.
