Overview: The Alzheimers Association Walk to End AlzheimersTM Marketing and Outreach intern serves as the primary lead for generating greater participation for the Walk via promotion of the event; and to build public awareness of the Alzheimers Association in promotion of Walk. Works closely with the Walk Event Chair/Co-Chair and other staff to identify opportunities to engage the community of our mission through Walk.

Objectives:
- In close coordination with the Regional Director and Walk Chair, develop a plan of action to ensure marketing and public outreach goals are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to obtain free media opportunities. Be creative when looking for new approaches to promotional opportunities.
- Help identify & coordinate targeted local media opportunities during nationwide advertising campaign.
- Augment existing outreach (brochure & poster distribution, paid advertising, etc.) with creative strategies.
- Look for new online promotional opportunities and ways to expand outreach.
- Meet monthly with walk committees to assess goals, troubleshoot and provide assistance to committee volunteers.
- identify opportunities to expand outreach into diverse communities.
- Assist with the logistics for the day of the event
