APPLY at www.centerstage.org/Education/ProfessionalInternshipProgram.aspx THE COMPANY MANAGEMENT INTERN assists the Company Manager with all aspects of company and facilities management, including actor, director, and other theater consultants' contracts; travel and accommodations; occasionally auditions; management of all theater-owned housing units; and attending to the needs of visiting artists. Candidates need a warm personality; good communication skills; strong organizational skills; basic computer and office skills; a valid drivers license; and a sense of humor. Additional tasks may include assisting the Production Management office as needed throughout the season. ABOUT THE PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Graduating college seniors and recent graduates are invited to apply to CENTERSTAGEs 2013-14 Professional Internship Program, which provides hands-on experience and professional guidance to early-career artists, craftspeople, and administrators. Interns at the Baltimore-based LORT B/C theater work full time from mid-August to early June, enjoying benefits that include free housing, a weekly stipend, networking opportunities, and professional development. Summer/Fall 2012 Apply Immediately Internship Description: Tierra del Sol is currently seeking a Theater Arts Intern interested in exploring a variety of materials with clients in order to develop performance pieces. The Theater Arts intern will create rehearsals to practice theater skills, song lyrics, dance steps, sign language, and theater games. Job Description: Create weekly activities to enhance clients musical performances, dance skills, social skills, theater arts skills, and self-advocacy. Encourage all clients to participate in-group activities to learn how to play an instrument, dance moves, song lyrics, and other skills. Include as many people as possible in the set up and clean up of the activity. Encourage self-advocacy and choice making opportunities. Train clients and staff using step-by-step error free instruction. Be aware of possible safety concerns and communicate them to program staff. APPLY at www.centerstage.org/Education/ProfessionalInternshipProgram.aspx THE ARTISTIC AND DRAMATURGY INTERN works with the artistic staff in support of literary management, new play development, season planning, production dramaturgy, a range of outreach and promotional efforts, and the overall near- and long-term artistic course of the theater. Other responsibilities typically include writing program and other material; collaborating in educational, community programming, marketing, or development efforts; additional dramaturgy for selected projects; contributing to the artistic and institutional online/social media presence; and helping devise, support, or coordinate select artistic or other projects. Candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills, a high degree of initiative, and a strong background in dramatic literature and practical theater; some graduate study or prior experience of professional production is a plus.
