Opera Theatre of Saint Louis Administrative Internship Program

Opera Theatre of Saint LouisWebster Groves, MO
**Please submit applications through the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis website ONLY at www.experienceopera.org -- applications submitted through www.internships.com will not be considered!** Opera Theatre of Saint Louis is known as a center for training young professionals in all aspects of opera. Several current Opera Theatre staff members started as OTSL interns, and other graduates of the administrative internship program are working at arts organizations in St. Louis and around the country. Opera Theatre internships offer the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people both in and beyond the company. A basic familiarity with (and enthusiasm about) opera and classical music is a great help, because it cuts down the amount of material interns must assimilate and adds greatly to interns enjoyment of the activities offered during the season. Interns are invited to attend additional lectures, recitals, and rehearsals as their schedules permit. The Boeing/Arts and Education Council Administrative Internship program is made possible by the Boeing/Arts and Education Council Collaborative Grant and The Boeing Company. Guidelines All internships are full-time, paid positions. Starting dates vary (see job descriptions), and hours may include some nights and weekends. The majority of our interns are college students or recent college graduates, but any qualified applicants interested in pursuing a career in arts management will be considered. Housing is not included. Short-term options are limited and may be prohibitively expensive. Applications for the 2013 season will be available in January and should be submitted by March 1, 2013. If positions are still open, applications will be considered after that date. Open positions include: Development Intern Patron Services Intern Press & Communications Intern Graphics & Media Intern Business Intern Artistic Administration Intern Education Intern For full position descriptions and an online application, please visit http://www.opera-stl.org/about/employment-opportunities/
