An independent producer of film and theatre is currently seeking two part-time interns (production and music) to assist and manage responsibilities related to management, research, talent scouting, and social media. Since the positions are unpaid, the ideal candidates will be seeking experience and connections to help further their career in the entertainment industry. The independent producer also would like to collaborate with the interns on their original project ideas, as well as create tailored internship responsibilities to propel their goals. Note, the internship is not with a production company but with an individual, and should be approached with flexibility and an entrepreneurial mindset. Part-time internship available with a busy production company specializing in theatre, independent film, and social media. Assist with theatre, film, comedy and video projects and the implementation of social media initiatives for theatre productions, films, individuals, and artists. We are looking for someone creative, organized, efficient, detail oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, able to collaborate effectively with team members, and able to work independently. We are a small company with a fun and casual work environment. We work with some of the most creative people in the industry, so this is a great opportunity to learn and grow. This is a part-time position that will require 12 hours per week according to a somewhat flexible schedule, plus occasional events including video shoots, opening night events, live performances, readings, and showcases. A transportation stipend is available.

ABOUT TSA The Smithsonian Associates (TSA) advances the Institutions mission to increase and diffuse knowledge through life-enriching educational and cultural experiences inspired by the Smithsonians research and collections for DC-region students, families, and adults, and for learning communities nationwide. INTERN DUTIES Intern will assist with all aspects of the Smithsonian Sleepovers program, including: - Research, budgets, logistical set-up, maintaining inventory, marketing, coordinating volunteers - Provide direct, hands-on support through the design and production of printed educational materials, and onsite support the night of the sleepovers. Some evening and weekend hours. - Opportunity to also provide assistance to other cultural and educational programs. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES By working closely with the Program Manager, the Intern will coordinate and manage all aspects of Smithsonian Sleepover program and gain experience in educational and cultural event production. Background: Shots in the Dark is an independent professional theatre company dedicated to supporting bold concepts, unique visions, and cultivating the talent of emerging and established artists. Shots in the Dark strives to mold better artists and community members through an uncompromising approach to the performance of completely new work, work new to Central Ohio, or work rarely produced in the Central Ohio area. Utilizing dynamic imagery, physical movement, and innovative storytelling, Shots in the Dark strives to establish an environment in which audiences are engaged in a visceral sense and an intellectual capacity. By offering affordable prices to non-traditional and traditional theatergoers, we aim to expand the theatre community. Position Description: The Marketing Coordinator Intern will help to increase awareness of all Shots in the Dark programs and events, including but not limited to performances, fundraisers, special events, educational activities, and developmental efforts. Compensation: This position is unpaid. Intern will receive discounted tickets to all performances. Pending exemplary performance and results, intern could become a permanent position with monthly stipend.

Sanford Arts is an Integrative Health program housed within the Cancer Center at Sanford USD Medical Center, in Sioux Falls, SD. As a student intern your primary obligation and privilege will be to work with patients, caregivers, and sometimes staff creating projects and works of art. Each opportunity to meet with a participant is unique giving you the ability to use your skills and flexibility to discover new abilities in yourself and with whom you work. Your interactions with participants are meant to provide a deviation from any normal visit, in that you are providing opportunities to gain a skill, develop mastery, reduce nervousness, ultimately working for an improved experience. All work is with the arts and within the medium you know and love. This internship may also serve as in introduction to an Expressive Therapies internship. You will not be seeing clients in the same manner as in a therapeutic relationship, however many aspects to this internship serve as introductory components to Expressive Therapy practice in a healthcare setting. Your supervisor is an Expressive Therapist and will hold weekly discussions on Expressive Therapies topics.
