Lynns Kids International (LKI) is a non-profit organization for the advancement of underprivileged children. We believe education is the key to self-empowerment. Our goal is to enable each child and instill hope so they may reach their fullest potential in life. We fund 23 camps locally and internationally and we are looking for 10+ interns to help us at our local camp based in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and to participate in our outreach activities around NYC. Our internship program starts on July 1st and runs through the middle of August. The hours for this unpaid internship are 9:00 am 2:00 pm Monday through Friday.

OUR MISSION The GWAYO, Inc. is committed to empowering young people from lower income families with the opportunities, skills, and vision to achieve long-term dreams and goals. OUR HISTORY Seeing academically underperforming children from low-income households being left behind by northwest suburban public schools prompted Philip Herman in 1997 to establish a supplemental education program for low-income suburban youth of all races. The program, originally coordinated under the auspices of the Wheeling and River Trails Park Districts, provided academically struggling students with adequate time to study and a chance to participate in healthy group recreational activities. Herman's vision was for his after-school program to blossom into a larger scale tutoring/mentoring initiative for middle- and high school students. That program became the Greater Wheeling Area Youth Outreach, Inc. (GWAYO), and was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation on August 16, 2001. We are currently looking for 3 Camp Counselors that will assist Camp Supervisors and other volunteers with the set up and running of the Summer Adventure Camp program. A stipend could be worked out once starting the internship.

This marketing internship is a practical hands-on experience working directly with the education marketing department at the Patel Conservatory.

The Bridge Project mission is to support under-served middle school age children through athletic, educational and enrichment programs to help them achieve academic success, develop the personal skills and traits necessary to reach their goals and grow as individuals of sound character and reputation. The Bridging the Gap Community Center is a small grass root and community focused, but successful non-profit looking to expand its mission and services. To do this, Bridge Project is seeking qualified individuals for various internship positions. Because of its structure (with people working remotely from all over the US), BTGCC is looking for independently-driven, but team-oriented individuals who are able to be proactive without direct supervision and with the ability to manage multiple tasks well. This is a learning environment for disadvantaged youths. We will take field trip and do outdoor events that is connected to learning.

REACH Ministries builds relationships with youth and families with HIV/AIDS, in order to equip them for experiencing God's design, which is a lifetime of hope and purpose. Every year, we provide a family camp for those affected by HIV. We are looking for a part-time summer intern to work closely with the Camp Director in planning and coordinating all activities that will take place during the four-day REACH Camp. The interns will be working in an office environment for most of the summer. Applicants interested in applying knowledge and skills gained from academic study in a planned and supervised work environment; interested in art therapy and event planning; interested in exploring HIV/AIDS, psychosocial development and the sociological implications of living with HIV, with an approach of compassion and grace, will benefit from this internship opportunity.

All-Star Baseball Academy (ASBA) offers comprehensive internships in marketing, public relations, and events. Founded in 1998, All Star Baseball Academy is a well-respected, national leader in the baseball training field, with a focus on mentoring young players and emphasizing the benefits of hard work, commitment, and excellent training routines. ASBA offers both individual and team training at all of our facilities-- for players ranging from 5 to 18 years of age. ASBA has grown from a single location to five facilities in the Chester, Delaware and Bucks counties of PA with our newest in Cherry Hill, NJ. ASBA Academy offers Spring, Summer and Fall internships that typically last 12 weeks. All internships are unpaid for college credits (3 to 9 credit internships).
