Newell Rubbermaid's Supply Chain Management Development Program is a key component of our world-class operational strategy. As part of this two-year program, you will participate in four, six-month assignments in four of the below rotation categories. You will have an opportunity to work with a broad range of products in a variety of environments. This role offers a competitive salary and relocation assistance. Manufacturing- Quality Engineering, Production Planning/Scheduling, Safety/Ergonomics, Supply Chain Excellence (OPEX, Lean techniques), Facility layout, TPM, Process flow, Supervision
Logistics- Logistics, Transportation, Distribution, Inventory Management
Planning- Production Planning/Scheduling, Forecasting, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Global Requirements, Supply Logistics Qualifications Completed bachelors or masters degree from a 4-year program in Operations, Engineering, Logistics or related field before program start in July 2013. Seeking to learn and practice the trade of a consumer products-related business through a fast-paced, high energy, dynamic position. 0 - 2 years of full time or part time work or internship experience highly preferred Qualified candidates must have a proven record of commitment, ambition and drive toward establishing and achieving goals. Candidates must also be able to work as part of a team and have demonstrated leadership ability. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to this position. MDP participants will complete their four rotations in two separate locations and must be able to relocate within the continental United States. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities at this level include participating in cross-functional teams, managing projects, new product execution, performing business analysis and tracking, and supporting the brand manager with the overall consumer marketing and management of the brand.
Examples of responsibilities include:
  • Consumer and Market Insights - track marketing metrics, such as share/POS, distribution, and pricing. Recommend conclusions and action steps for the brand and business.
  • Brand Strategy - collaborate with marketing services to complete a creative brief and execute packaging designs consistent with a determined communications hierarchy and a global style guide.
  • Innovation and Product Portfolio Management - analyze historical new product launches, and reports on vitality rates.
  • Pricing - collaborate with channel management to monitor competitive pricing information and tracks own-brand pricing. Recommend key conclusions and action steps for the brand and business.
  • Integrated Marketing Planning - Analyze consumer, category, competition, and channel/customer as part of a situation assessment. Recommend key conclusions.
  • Financial Management - Work collaboratively with cross-functional team to reduce finished goods inventory and Excess and Obsolete.
Qualifications
  • Completed Junior year in Business or Marketing program
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Internship or work experience preferred, in marketing or like field

Calphalon, a division of Newell Rubbermaid located in Atlanta, GA and is a leading manufacturer and distributor of kitchen housewares. The position of industrial designer co-op is responsible to work in a cross-functional team environment assisting the Manager, R&D - Design, from concept to finished product. Develop and design concepts for new products and product lines. Project may be independent from the Manager, R&D - Design and focused on short-term deliverables. Work with freehand sketches as well as CAD models in both 2D and 3D, using programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Solidworks, or Pro-E. Prototype design concepts to demonstrate their appearance and evaluate functionality. Reports to the Sr, Industrial Designer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assisting the NPD team on the research element of product development
· Work closely with the product development teams under the direction of the Sr. Industrial Designer in the development process.
· Refine designs in Solidworks or Pro-E platforms.
· Create concept renderings in Keyshot.
· Prototyping / modeling of design concepts. Assist in prototype development (Z-Corp, Eden, painting, etc.)
· Support the design team in general where necessary.
Qualifications This position requires one to be enrolled in an Industrial Design, at the respective University. Must have two years of course work completed towards an Industrial Design degree. Must be familiar with Microsoft Software, Including Adobe Illustrator. Ideally have some experience on Alias or Pro-E Knowledge of the housewares industry a plus. Strong interest in culinary arts also preferred.
