Position Summary Digital Media Academy is seeking both Social Media Photography and Social Media Videography interns to assist with capturing the experience of attending our camps. Because you have first-hand experience with our camps, we feel you are best qualified to encapsulate Digital Media Academy classes and activities. About Us Digital Media Academy (DMA) is a nationally-recognized education and enrichment organization delivering hands-on learning experiences with a broad range of digital media. DMA offers summer camps for kids, teens and also Pro-Series courses for adult-learners. Instructors include industry experts, master teachers and award-winning creative professionals. DMAs teen and adult courses are accredited by Stanford University Continuing Studies and offered for optional Stanford Continuing Studies credit. Founded in 2001 by a group from Stanford University, DMA is known for its premier summer programs hosted at prominent destination campuses, such as Stanford University, Harvard University, Yale University, the University of Texas, and others. In addition to summer programs, DMA also provides on-site training for schools and companies, and offers a variety of workshops throughout the year in Los Gatos, CA. Development Intern

Equality Texas is in the business of securing equality in the state by advocating and lobbying for the elimination of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. To do this, we must raise funds in the philanthropic community and awareness among all Texans to maintain and increase capacity for outreach, advocacy and education across the state. The Development Intern at Equality Texas plays an integral role in expanding fundraising opportunities through data management, grant research, event coordination, and other development support to help Equality Texas reach and exceed goals. We are currently seeking interns for the Spring Semester. The minimum time commitment for academic year interns is one semester. Interns are encouraged to earn credit for their time, but volunteers are welcome as well. Average hours per week are 12-20 hours with flexibility for actual days worked. All positions are non-paid. People with experience in community organizing or grassroots organizations preferred. The Equality Texas office is located in downtown Austin within walking distance to the State Capitol. The office is a friendly and fun place to work. Internships with the Development Department offer you a chance to make a difference while you build your experience and résumé. Through our Public Policy/Legislative Advocacy Program, we lobby members of the Texas Legislature and the leaders of Texas cities, towns and counties to enact policies that strengthen families and promote equality. The Public Policy/Legislative Advocacy internship at Equality Texas includes a variety of tasks in which you can use and develop your policy and advocacy skills. Public policy interns are utilized year-round to assist the department in achieving its goals. We are currently seeking interns for the Spring Semester. The minimum time commitment for academic year interns is one semester. Interns are encouraged to earn credit for their time, but volunteers are welcome as well. The Field Department of Equality Texas coordinates and encourages the activism of Equality Texas members statewide to advocate and lobby for the elimination of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. Activism occurs through Equality Texas events, student clubs, and the e-mail action center network and member activists. Our activities to advance LGBT civil rights include Lobby Day at the Capitol, organizing phone banks, volunteer recruitment & retention, and staffing information tables. Field Interns are utilized year-round to assist the department in achieving its goals. We are currently seeking interns for the Spring Semester. The minimum time commitment for academic year interns is one semester. Interns are encouraged to earn credit for their time, but volunteers are welcome as well. Social Media & Website Managament Interns at Equality Texas will play an integral role in expanding our website and web2.0 presence, producing and managing content for our website, our YouTube Channel, and for our social networking and blog sites.
