Nostalgic Catering was established in 2008 by Kara Sigle. Nostalgic Catering is a boutique style catering company that works with major fortune 500 companies and other major personal clients. Chef and Owner, Kara Sigle, was recently featured on Food Network and has wonderful exposure in the food industry. Nostalgic Catering is looking for intelligent creative event planners, office interns, and social media interns to market and create advertising campaigns for Nostalgic Catering. Our interns will be putting together marketing material, press kits, and developing proposals for a number of events. We will require our interns to work 20-30 hours a week. There will be opportunities to shadow our event management team at events with the opportunity for pay.

FunPower is a start up founded by 3 University of Chicago students. The start up is to do with gamification of the fitness industry (The company is in stealth mode so we cannot disclose much right now, but we can discuss more if you're interested). Our product offering consists of a proprietary exercise device and an iOS app. The app would have the format of a game and would be used for tracking and monitoring the users fitness activities. We're looking for someone to join the team to build and manage the app aspect of the business. We've made some great progress until now. We already have an engineer with 30 years of experience at IBM on board. Besides him, we have a product designer from London with over 10 years of experience in the team too. Currently, we're participating in a number of competitions including the UChicago new venture challenge, Net Impacts Walmart better living challenge, Enactus Social Innovation Challenge, and the Clinton Global Initiative Conference. Urban Brain and Body, LLC is a mental health and wellness center specializing in neurofeedback and complimentary therapies to help people achieve mental and physical balance. We are looking for someone to manage our social media presence, increase our fans and followers, and strategically build our online presence. This position may be performed primarily remotely but will be required to meet with staff regularly in our office, and it is expected that the person will be responsive by phone or email if telecommuting.
