A Television Director is usually responsible for directing the actors and other filmed aspects of a television production. The role differs from that of a film director because the major creative control will likely belong to the Producer. In general, the Actor and other regular Artists on a show will be familiar enough with their roles that the Director's input will be confined to technical issues. The Director is responsible for all creative aspects of a movie. The Director would most likely assist with hiring the cast (and possibly the crew). The Director helps decide on the locations, creates a plan of shooting, and sets a mental layout of shot by shot in their minds eye. During shooting, the Director supervises the overall project, manages shots, and keeps the assignment on budget, and schedule. Although the Director holds much power, they are second in command after the Producer, who ultimately hired the Director (unless the Director holds both positions). Some Directors are also the Producers of their television program, and, with the approval of the funding studio, have a much tighter grip on what makes the final cut than Directors usually have.

The Location Manager finds and manages film locations. Most pictures are shot in the controllable environment of a studio sound stage but occasionally, outdoor sequences call for filming on location.

Account Executive In the advertising industry, account executives are typically responsible for client servicing and client acquisition. The AE serves as the direct link between the advertising agency and the existing client, managing day-to-day affairs and ensuring customer satisfaction. The word "executive" in this instance means to "execute" - that is he/she is mostly responsible for more practical parts of the advertising jobs (i.e. media placement, distributions, contract negotiation, etc). The AE is also tasked with bringing more clients into the agency to increase revenue. The AE will typically have 1-2 assistants and answer to the respective account supervisor and/or to the client service director/account director. This depends on the country and on the account he is working for. In Spain for example, an account executive could probably develop very important campaigns on his own.

A television camera operator works with digital, electronic and film cameras in multi and single-camera operational conditions, producing pictures for directors by combining the use of complex technology with creative visual skills. The work is based in three settings: in a studio, where the camera operator usually follows a camera script, which gives the order of shots. This is practised at rehearsal and is cued by the director during recording. The skill lies in interpreting what the director wants and acting quickly and effectively to achieve it; outside broadcasts, working as part of a team of camera operators filming live events, such as sporting and ceremonial occasions and music performances; on location, where there is likely to be more opportunity for creativity through suggesting shots to the director. A camera operator might specialise in any or all of these disciplines.

TV Editors, who are responsible for converting raw film into a final product, attain skills either through on-site training or a formal undergraduate education in film, media studies, art or information technology. Related jobs include television producers, production assistants, audio editors and camera operators.
