The Business Marketing Summer Internship Program for the summer of 2013 is a strategic program that enables participants to combine their coursework experience with the skills and real world experience needed to broaden their knowledge across the IT application development spectrum combined with strong Business Marketing expertise.

Through our student internships, you'll benefit from the combination of classroom theory and real world experience.  You will receive on-the-job training where interns can work with project teams.

Mentors are assigned to each intern, one for project and one for additional skills development.

Student Intern I

Overall Purpose
Provides field level Subject Matter Expertise on a variety of EH&S issues in and around  Dallas, Texas.   The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate EH&S practices and procedures in an effort to facilitate compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, provide employees with a safe and healthful workplace, safeguard the community, and protect the environment.
This position may be responsible for contributing to ATTs compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
·         Trains and issues guidance/direction to business unit management and employees to ensure, prevent or correct federal, state and local EH&S compliance issues.
·         Uses professional judgment to complete EH&S related  Assessments at AT&T locations.
·         Determines appropriate corrective actions when and assign to the appropriate business unit and personnel when improvement opportunities are identified.
·         Managing the process and outcomes of on-site EHS compliance management systems/programs for accuracy and completeness.
·         Use and exercise professional judgment to gather, review, and interpret unique local agency requirements and assess their impact on AT&T .
·         Analyzes situations, circumstances and data to consider, resolve and advise on issues.

Student Intern I

Summer intern needed to work with Senior Portfolio Manager. This intern will assist in the analysis of the North Texas Portfolio, during a transformational period for the portfolio.  Leveraging AT&Ts latest collaboration and app-related technologies to revolutionize the use of real estate in the workplace, this role will involve analysis of the companys commercial real estate portfolio to develop a long term strategic plan, incorporating economic analysis as well as providing an analytical framework to develop architectural programs that utilize a new evolving workplace standard.
Responsibilities will include: data analysis and management, financial modeling to evaluate NPVs and IRRs for a range of investments from new leases to dispositions of real estate assets, developing budgets and timelines for complex and cross-functional teams, and drafting messaging for the communication strategy on projects.
The intern will work on problems of scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. He/she will exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The intern will receive some instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments, etc.

Education


The selected candidate shall have completed 90 classroom hours of undergraduate study and be classified as a Senior.  Completed coursework and the candidates degree plan shall be in the field of architecture, engineering or business with a major in economics, finance or real estate.  The selected candidate shall have a cumulative grade point average of no less than 3.00 on a 4.00 point scale.
This intern position typically reports to a 2nd Level Manager
This is a non-supervisory position.  

Assoc Project Mgr Network Engineering Technical Development Program

The AT&T Network Planning & Engineering Technical Development Program (NP&E NETDP) is a great opportunity for graduates interested in joining a very dynamic organization using cutting-edge tools and technologies. 

We are looking for a focused, energetic individual who is looking to start their career in one of the diverse AT&T Network Planning & Engineering fields.  This candidate should be an exceptional graduate with a potential to achieve a high level of performance in a short period of time.  This program focuses on rotational assignments, professional development, and extensive coaching to help you gain the experience necessary to become a successful member within the NP&E team at AT&T.

The initial assignment for position is essential in the compilation and generation of critical NP&E network performance reports, weekly and monthly metric dashboards, and special studies.  Also, provides project management functions towards the design, preparation of requirements, development, programming, testing, and implementation of models in support of network components, capital projects, and new metrics for growth areas of the business.

This position is an entry level, non-trainee engineer working on a variety of routine engineering activities under close guidance and direction from more experienced engineers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Assists more experienced engineers and performs field tests on networks under close direction. Performs engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks

The Antenna Solutions Group (ASG) Technical Project Manager leads specific assigned projects from inception through completion. May support Project Managers, Program Managers Regional and National leadership in specific areas including but not limited to: project execution, scheduling management, financial management, project/program management in addition but not limited to regional reporting management, risk management, regional program metrics (cost, cycle time, quality). 

Ensures network process capability, control and improvement by implementing procedures and interpreting network standards.

This highly visible role has the Technical Project Manager representing the Regional Project Management Team, in leading the Regional team to success, handling National issues, progress and performance related to DAS execution and solution delivery and reports to Director of Project Management.

The Technical Project Manager leads issues and resolution of issues to obtain understanding of both National and Regional policies and procedures for regional and other ASG functional groups, as well as specific regionally managed project scopes and objectives.   Completes moderately complex work within discipline/specialty area. Contributes to development of concepts/methods/techniques.  Strong analytical and as well as technical knowledge within the DAS Solution delivery project functions are required and utilized in the performance of the job.  Cross-functional collaborator, decision maker and tenured skills with software packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, internal tools, etc. are required.  There is also heavy interaction with databases used in tracking project information.

INDEPENDENCE Guided by project and work deadlines; sets own priorities. Uses discretion to complete assignments; independently applies knowledge of technical practices and specialty area standards. Independently completes assignments; participates in diverse projects.
