While this is an unpaid position at this time, it is offered with the intention that for the right applicant it will mature into part-time employment. Healthcare Public Relations Intern

Our marketing team seeks and intern to assist in the planning, implementation, communication, research and development of our global provider network. Responsibilities will include being proactive with culturally sensitive approaches, new ideas, collaborating and building relationships with internal and external customers. You will oversee the process of gathering required data and presenting the research in publishable form. This position requires weekly reports presented during senior staff meetings, leading web-based presentations, and using interpersonal skills and occasionally providing assistance to other colleagues, country managers and interns on the team. This role also interacts with the international public, media, and foreign government agencies. The intern will learn aspects of writing press materials including press releases, pitch letters, executive bios, and publicity review reports in all formats, including broadcast, print, and electronic mediums. This is a great opportunity for an intern to learn who's who among healthcare journalists at national publications and journals in addition to learning important aspects of book review publications and the publishing industry. Qualified candidates are excellent writers, organized, capable of multi-tasking and confident presenting information by phone. Candidate should be comfortable with small and large group presentations to represent Mercury Healthcare to hospital executives, government representatives and healthcare professionals using an approved slide deck, multimedia tools and printed collateral. You should have some understanding of healthcare delivery and administration, but we can teach you this once you have been selected for the internship. You must be of age to execute a nondisclosure and confidentiality agreement and the integrity to uphold it. You must have a passport and be able to travel outside the United States. Successful candidates who meet their assigned project objectives will be given qualification advantage points with the company in consideration for openings that become available as the company grows.
