PHAs Marketing and Communications Internship in Patient Education offers students a structured experience working with PHAs staff and constituents to assist in the research, development and marketing for PHAs major patient education initiatives. The Marketing and Communications Intern will be instrumental in helping PHA staff develop and market educational resources for patients and caregivers whose lives are affected by pulmonary hypertension. The internship will prepare the intern for a career in the marketing and communications by providing an opportunity participate in creating an exciting social marketing campaign as well as develop internal and external communication strategies. Interns will be given the opportunity to lead these projects based on their ability, passion, and interests. We offer both part-time and full-time internships. The Patient Outreach and Services program aims to meet the needs of specific populations within the PHA community. The Patient Outreach and Services Intern will work with PHA staff to develop programs and resources to address special population needs. Specifically, this intern will work with the Manager of Patient Outreach and Services to expand and enhance online and print material offerings for newly diagnosed patients, young adults with PH, caregivers of adult patients, families of children with PH, and PH patients with associated conditions. The Publications Internship offers students and recent graduates a structured experience working with PHAs staff and constituents in producing quality print and web material and furthering PHAs outreach to the community. The intern will work with PHAs Associate Director of Publications to coordinate print projects with various vendors and to craft and prepare stories for publication in Pathlight, PHAs quarterly newsletter, and PHANews, PHA's biweekly e-newsletter. PHA is committed to serving as and promoting the voice of the PH community, and this intern will help us to strengthen that commitment. This is a flexible 3 to 6 month internship (15 hr/week minimum). Interns will be paid a modest stipend and a transportation subsidy. Interns may also earn college credit.
