JOB TITLE: Maintenance Proposal Support Intern
REPORTS TO: Manager, Bid Board & Maintenance Solutions Support Team
LOCATION: Greensboro, NC
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for revenue generation/value creation by making outgoing telephone calls, emails, and other customer focused contacts. The assigned contacts will be comprised of the MicroTech Technical Assistance Center (MTAC) maintenance portfolio. In addition to placing outbound solutions calls, emails, etc., the Intern will work with other support team and MTAC personnel to develop quotes for interested prospects and will refer leads found, that requires additional support or is outside of the assigned territories, to the proper person for follow-up. The Intern will strive to build strong personal relationships with our partners contacts.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver prepared solutions dialogues, reading from scripts that describe maintenance services in order to persuade potential customers to purchase services or to identify a possible lead for another part of the UCC Solutions Team
Explain services, prices, and answer questions from customers
Obtain customer information required to prepare quotes
Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from sources such as partner personnel and other sources as applicable
Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts
Maintain records of contacts and update database as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Current college student. Preferred intern be pursuing relevant business/IT degree
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to learn about information technology (IT) industry (networking, services, markets, technology)
Must be motivated to have an impact on our maintenance solutions sales and our company
Proven detailed organizational and administration skills
