GO-Science is a nonprofit regional science and technology center located in Greenville, NC that is in the process of opening a new facility in downtown Greenville to serve a 29 county region with hands-on educational programming in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We reach over 20,000 participants annually through over 19 core programs deployed by over 800 volunteers throughout the region. This internship position will focus on the technology systems that enable our organization to meet its goals and objectives. As an intern you will gain experience in a variety of areas related to technical management and implementation.

Manage key strategic business development and project activities for non-profit including but not limited to the following activities: Create a sponsorship and grant plan - Research local, regional and national grant and sponsorship opportunities and present a plan o Apply/pursue grants/sponsorships where approved by management Manage ongoing key business correspondence as necessary Research local, regional and national business partnership opportunities with hospitals, other non-profit, cancer-related organizations o Create an interaction plan for key stakeholders/partners Assist with planning non-profit fundraising and awareness events Update financials/budget as necessary based on income and expenses Create reports and project plans as necessary

Position Description Position: Solutions Intern Location: Scranton, PA Department: Solutions Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (Full or part time accepted) Responsible for supporting Diversifieds Solution team as it relates to assistance with event planning and coordination, client meetings, proposal coordination, customer service tasks, data entry, WORKetc (CRM tool) and other duties as assigned by management. Description Create a comprehensive communication and marketing plan based on the non-profit annual and long-term goals/objectives (include various channels (media, print, social media) within the plan). Execute set-up of the plan, including but not limited to the following activities: Build and maintain donor databases (Quickbooks and Constant Contact) to insure ongoing contact with key donors, vendors and other stakeholders Build media plan and document contact information and other submission requirements Assist with development of communication and marketing materials including making appropriate changes to social media, e-mail, yahoo group, website, blogspot, etc. as needed. Conduct benchmarking with non-profits in the same space to gain ideas/best practices as it relates to communication and marketing materials Create communication templates and marketing materials (donor letter, sponsor letter, thank you letter, press releases etc., promotional video) Document any processes as needed for business continuity purposes LOCATION Charlotte and flexible, some in person, SKYPE and phone conference meetings COMPENSATION This is not a paid internship. The Bridging the Gap Community Center for the Bridge Project is seeking Interns for the Bridge Project. The Bridge Project mission is to support under-served middle school age children through athletic, educational and enrichment programs to help them achieve academic success, develop the personal skills and traits necessary to reach their goals and grow as individuals of sound character and reputation. The Bridging the Gap Community Center is a small grass root and community focused, but successful non-profit looking to expand its mission and services. To do this, Bridge Project is seeking qualified individuals for various internship positions. Because of its structure (with people working remotely from all over the US), BTGCC is looking for independently-driven, but team-oriented individuals who are able to be proactive without direct supervision and with the ability to manage multiple tasks well. In addition, individuals working as interns for BTGCC should be familiar with and committed to upholding and promoting the Bridge Projects mission of supporting under-served middle school age children through athletic, educational and enrichment programs. There are currently five internships available, all of which are unpaid positions. If your school provides internship credit, we are happy to provide assistance securing it. While start and end dates are negotiable for these internships, the Bridge Project is especially interested in candidates who are able to work with our organization for several months (ideally a semester minimum) and those who are willing to work independently with direction as needed (after being trained on the Bridge Project organizational structure).We want someone who is: fun, flexible, creative, a self-starter, and a team player!!!
