Part-time paid internship - North Star Canoe Rentals is a small family run canoe and kayaking outfitter operating in Vermont and New Hampshire. We are looking for an intern for the summer 2013 season to work 3 days a week on local marketing activities. Work includes, design on promotional material, managing our companies web presence and distributing promotional material locally. The intern will get first hand experience on how a small outdoor industry business markets. The positions pays a $100 a week stipend. The Squam Conservation Internship gives future conservation leaders the skills and experience needed to effectively move onto the next professional level while at the same time helping the Squam Lakes Association (SLA) with our conservation mission. This program will provide hands-on conservation work experience and certifications over a broad range of activities. Interns will serve as campsite hosts and caretakers at our backcountry campsites, help with the eradication of variable milfoil, perform water quality testing and monitoring, help with public education and outreach projects, perform conservation duties such as shoreline restoration and trail maintenance and construction, meet and greet lake users and educate them about the dangers of invasive species. Beans & Greens Farm is a vegetable farm / tourist attraction in a busy lakes/mountains regions of NH. Part of our business is a bakery offering pies, cookies, bars, breads and various other items. An intern in our bakery will be expected to manage inventory displayed and bake items as needed to keep the retail area stocked. We are looking for creativitiy, organization, and enthusiasm! Produce grown on the farm is often incorporated into baked goods. The bakery is fast paced, weekends are often huge.
