YogaPiphany, a growing yoga, fitness and wellness organization located in the Upper Valley (NH), is looking for a summer intern to assist in daily small business operations up to 15 hours per week. The ideal person is a multi-tasker with a can-do attitude. This individual is also a fast learner who can take direction and easily convert that direction into action, learning new ideas and leveraging small business technology. The intern would also need to be creative , assisting in marketing campaigns via social media and other channels, as well as various other business related projects. In this position, the intern will develop their skills in the areas of marketing, bookkeeping and communications. The internship may also include attending talks or online seminars and helping to increase the engagement of new clients, to include conducting market research and providing insight on future opportunities. YogaPiphany Yoga Studios and Epiphany Natural Health promote wellness via instructor led yoga and fitness classes in 2 locations and a health and wellness coaching business. Both businesses are in their start up phases, making this a great opportunity to gain insight into entrepreneurship. While this is not a paid internship, compensation will be provided to the intern in the form of unlimited membership to the studios, including all of it's yoga and fitness classes, during the period of the internship. He or she will also be welcome to participate in any workshops, in our health coaching program and any other programs or events being conducted by the organization. Special Events Intern, 12-15 hours/week, Unpaid Position Description Alzheimers Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter OVERVIEW Founded in 1980, the mission of the Alzheimers Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter is to eliminate Alzheimers disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. The Association operates out of its main office in Watertown, with regional offices in Springfield, Worcester, and Raynham, MA, and Bedford, NH. RESPONSIBILITIES Working with the Development team, the Special Events Intern would be responsible for the following: Assisting staff with coordinating annual special events, including the Walk to End Alzheimers Calls to past teams and current team captains Outreach to community groups Working vendor fairs Help secure logistics for walk day, permits, police detail, entertainment, food, etc. Help to develop additional tools for walkers, signage, forms, etc. Attend walk committee meetings if possible Assisting with developing, creating, and editing PR materials used to promote special events Conducting resource information research, database management, mailings, and outreach to ensure that our target audience is notified of our upcoming events Contacting donors and thanking them for their support of our programs, services and research grants program Desired Skills: Must have initiative and be a self-starter, with the ability to function as a member of a team Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Flexible and willing to step in and provide hands-on assistance as needed.
