Marketing/Communications Intern

Premium Poker ServicesBloomfield, NJ — Virtual
Premium Poker Services is a one-stop shop for all poker-related services: dealer services, professional equipment rental, private and group lessons, and professional poker coaching. Although we are less than a year old, we are a fast-growing company with an excellent opportunity for the right marketing intern to gain some real, hands-on experience. I run the company from my home (and you will also be able to work from your home!), and provide services for live events to customers in NJ, NYC and CT, with over 50 dealers and massage therapists working for her. However, I handle all marketing efforts on my own, so there is quite a bit of real work (not filing and photocopying!) that an intern can do. Poker experience is not required in order to do this job, but there will be opportunities to learn about the game if the intern is interested. There will also be opportunities to attend live client events if the intern would like, but that also is not required. A marketing intern at PPS would work on many of the following projects: - working on PPS marketing plan; - writing, editing, and posting Craigslist ads for unpaid advertising opportunities; - researching and evaluating paid advertising opportunities; - researching media outlets for press release distribution; - writing, editing, and distributing press releases; - researching and contacting event planning companies for potential partnerships and new business; - researching and contacting potential clients/organizations for new business pitches; - coordinating organizational details for charity events and other multi-table tournaments; - client relations; - writing pitch letters for new clients; - organizing content and writing website page copy for new web pages; - researching entrepreneurial organizations, small business fairs, and event planner fairs for networking opportunities; - researching and developing affiliate marketing opportunities; - updating social media outlets such as Twitter and Facebook with relevant content and updates; - working with vendors to maximize services while minimizing costs; - strategic brainstorming with Allyson for new marketing efforts; - creating new marketing materials (brochures, flyers, etc.) - ongoing marketing responsibilities as they arise.
